I want to buy a piece of electronic equipment off ebay.
Here is the problem. The maker has a contract with the reseller to not sell in an online auction or all warranties on the product are void. If the product is new and in the box, can they do this? The reseller is authorized, but the contract also dissolves that relationship as well as the warranty.
The reseller makes no mention of this in the ad, I found out on my own about the contract. If the supplier and manufacturer have a beef isn't that between them?
For example, could a name brand company void all the warranties on a TV from Walmart simply because Walmart didn't sell the TV for enough money or in the right manner?
