If person A pays person B to buy a product from company A then Person B delievers the product to Person A in working condition and then almost 3 months later the product has a defect is Person B responsible for repairs on the product understanding that there is a Warranty on the product?

Certainly not! The company the item was purchased from should be held responsible. Unless Person B is who gave you a warranty.
