Hi my name is sherry my problem is about the widing of our
street in front of our house. The constuction comp. and city com.
told us that they were going to widden our street to add a turn
lane at the conner. we were told that every thing would be put
back the way it was when they got finish with it. We were given
a check for 1900.00 dollors for the exta easement and we lost
to nice big trees and are fince was moved back three foot.
1. My problem is that now they are telling us that the job is done and that we do not get our side walk that runs from the porch to the street back because that is a no parking street so they do not have to put it back. Is this true or is there something I can do?
2. We ask them if they were going to put some top soil back
in the yard because the yard is full of rocks and big chunks of the
street . there reply was that they would come and remove 2
inches of dirt and replace it with good dirt. while we were at
work they came in and layed grass over the rocks and we have
no top soil at all . is there anything we can do about this.
3. the side walk that they broke up in order to put in a new
drain system when they widded the street , is now just a bunch
of broken concrete that drops off in a hole in the yard. I can
fix the hole but my side walk that is broken looks bad. my
side walk goes in a L shape in front of my house.
PLEASE HELP me to know what to do to get something done.
