What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania.

I would like to trademark name "X". Upon searching the trademark database I see that the name "X" has an expired trademark, but "X".us is current. Would it still be possible to gain the trademark for this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Possibly.

Are you using the name "X" to identify products or services already (have you used "X" in commerce already)?

As a note, "X.us" is a domain name. It may have no trademark rights at all.
