Hi,
We are a business and we sell on eBay. Today we had a couple listings removed by VERO ( Verified Rights Owner Program) stating our item was
"Item(s) is a counterfeit product which infringes the trademark owner's rights. All of our customers we sold this item to were contacted and told that we may have sold them a counterfeit item. We contacted the manufacturer listed on ebay's VERO email and after an all day process, we were told our product is legitimate and NOT counterfeit, and we have the right to sell this product. The company has contacted eBay to correct this and told them this was done in ERROR. We contacted eBay and they told us it could be 2-5 days until we can sell this item on eBay as the manufacturer has to sign a statement stating he made an error. The manufacturer is jumping through fiery hoops to get this corrected. We have had many call today from our customers requesting refunds and telling us we sold a counterfeit product.
We are losing money every day we cannot sell this item and we have some very upset customers. Do we have any legal recourse?

You can try suing the company that filed the VeRO complaint, but Ebay has NO liability here. I've only know one person who's managed to fight the VeRO complaints with a lot of success, you might get some info on her site:

I don't buy the "customer's calling" nonsense. Most ebay buyers are oblivious to the listings once they close.
