I was wondering where I can find if the image of the cancer ribbon is public or a copywrited image. Can I use this for t-shirts?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

A specific image of a pink ribbon (are we talking about the pink breast cancer one) is copyright by it's creator. The generic use of a pink ribbon, (i.e. you took or drew your own) would be yours. There's no US trademark on the pink ribbon. There the Canadian Breast Cancer Organization does have a mark on the pink ribbon up there.
