What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
Would it be illegal for me to recreate a trademarked t-shirt design? The original design is actually embroidered, but since those usually sell for hundreds of dollars, I plan to recreate the design through a cheaper alternative...using iron-on transfers. I am modifying it a little but it is still recognizable.
These are only for personal use and perhaps gifts for my friends but I am not planning on selling them or profiting from them in any way. As I am going to an event that may be televised or recorded, if someone spots the design, could I be in any legal trouble?
