What is the name of your state? TN
I work for a small nonprofit based organization that publishes a free newsletter (about 1700 subscribers) several times a year, we also post the issues on our website. Recently we were contacted by the author of a poem we had published two years ago. This poem was forwarded to us as author unknown. The author is wanting a settlement or he/she has threaten to take us to court. We immediately removed the poem from our website and offered to write an apology in our next issue.
We feel that this was a honest mistake and we are willing to take it to court. What shall we expect? Never had this to happen before. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
