Can I sell an original photo of a person (taken by me)? Or do I need authorization from the person photographed? I was told that California Rights of Publicity Law prevents sale of a photo unless the subject gives permission. Does that apply in Massachusetts? And does the selling of said photo infringe upon copyright? I am under the impression that I owned the copyright since it is my original work. Please help lead me out of this confusion. Thank you for any help you can give.
