Creative Commons Non-Attrib Licensce 2.0 photograph question

What is the name of your state? Ark

I started a website that features photoshop tutorials. I use some of 'my photography' and for faces and I recently did a 'glamour' tutorial. Not being a model photographer (I'm an amateur purely, ie I don't make any money off of photography just a hobby), I used a photograph from Flickr's Creative Commons 2.0 Non-Attrib.

I got to thinking (because the author never wrote me back) that maybe for some reason this may or may not be ok to do. Basically, I used the image to show a before and after process on how to do something in photoshop - it was nothing bad I did to the person's face (in fact it was more like a turn a photo into a model thing). . .

So, I guess my question is, are creative commons non-attrib licences ok to use in this manner? I specifically chose an image that said it allowed 'commercial derivatives' as long as you credit the author - which I did both by linking back to thier flicker page and 'thanking them' for making the image available.

The tutorial was only up for a day, I decided to 'unpublish it' until I got some more information from people that truly understand this stuff. . .

I worry incessently about little things, so I figured I'd make sure this is ok.

THanks for your analysis in clear English.

Clear English: You use someone's copyrighted material, you must have permission.

Yes, I understand if the copyright is a traditional one. I should have posted a link to the licence the photographer released the photograph under:

Did you attribute the work in the manner as requested by the copyright holder? If yes, then you are okay. If not, then you are not okay.

I made the image where when a person clicked it, it sent them back to the person's Flickr page. I also wrote above the image something like this:

"Thanks to the author for making this photo available under the creative common's license - click on thier image to see the author's flickr stream"

I'll probably leave it unpublished, this stuff is too scary for someone just doing it as a hobby. Basically since I only had it up for a day and 'unpublished it' I hope that I'm ok. . .
