Elvis photo my dad took

What is the name of your state?AR.

In the 50s, my dad took a photo of Elvis sitting at a cafe table in Arkansas with a sheriff and a couple of deputies, and Elvis is holding the sheriff's gun in the air. It's a great photo.

We want to put the image on a shirt and sell it. What we were wandering was whether we can get it copyrighted or if Elvis's image is already copyrighted. If it makes any difference, we would be selling the shirts on ebay.

You would require the permission of the Elvis Presley estate for such a venture. They do not give out licenses to use the Elvis' likeness very often and when they do the price can be rather stiff. You can find out more [URL=http://www.elvis.com/licensing/default.asp]here.[/URL]
