Very few patents ever ever make money.

Also it is the implementation of the patent to become a marketable product that is more important. Most patent can never become a marketable product. How much would a patent like that worth?

Let say you have a patent for a drug for some rare illness. You got the patent, but than it take many many years and many millions of drug test on human before FDA approve it for marketing... if the FDA ever approve it for marketing. Then, there is a very small market for it because the illness is rare.

Or you have a patent for a new egg beater. That would break the eggs into the bowl and throw away the eggshells, and beat the eggs, all automatically. However, it take $5000,00 to make and is the size of a refrigerator. How much You will have to sell the product for? How much is a patent like this worth?

Therefore it really depend on the marketability of the finish product. And, how bad the buyer wants it... There really can be nt easy calculation for its worth.
