We have a band that is an LLC. After some differences a member has decided to sell his share to the band. If the Album and its tracks were copyritten by the LLC Entity, and the LLC owns the rights to the album created by the band, does this exiting member still own any share of that copyright? Is he entitled to royalties of any kind?

What is the name of your state, gbhjam?

Has the LLC registered the copyrighted work with the US Copyright Office? Was the album registered as a joint work?

Joint owners are entitled to equal rights in the work unless there is a joint ownership agreement that states to the contrary.
