What is the name of your state? maine

I've written several of my own lyrics to old songs. I've recorded them in my home studio. I'd like to sell these. Must I get permission? If so, how do I do this? Thank you

not enough info here. depends on several things. what are you doing, sampling? then yes, you need licenses for the original music underlying your new lyrics. parodizing? then probably not. hire an attorney, have them review your demo and go from there.

This is not intended to be legal advice. Rather it is general advice only. Please contact an attorney. We have no attorney client relationship
