**A: you mean copyright it. Do a search.

Copyright is ownership. You make the music, you own it, it's copyrighted to you. If you'd like, send a copy to the US Copyright Office or deposit a copy in a safe desposit box and do not open it unless a dispute comes up. Or just get a small-town attorney for the meantime to hold a copy.
