What is the name of your state? CT

I have recently started making copies of vinyl records.
I take friends vinyl and clean it up, then burn it on cd. My question is this- Am i infringing on any laws by doing this. Up till now I have not charged anything for doing this as of yet. I have had enough requests for this service to consider doing it for profit.

The cd's I have done were to back-up legally purchased records that the people own.
