Seeing if this is worth pursuing for someone.

Woman worked for company. They took a photo of her and used on the front cover of their instruction manual that is included with priducts. She no longer works for the company, hasn't for about 5 years. They still use the photograph in the instruction manuels plus have used it in advertising. Not sure if she verbaly agreed to use in instructions but deffinatly did not in ads. She did not sign off on anything when the photo was taken. It is a photo of her while on the job.

Does she have bassis to seek compensation for use of photograph, or is it considered company property? Where can I find opinions on this.
