problem in textbook


What is the name of your state? MD

Hello,

As to what extent is a problem in a mathematics text book protected by copyright? whould changing the numbers around be ok?

Numbers are not copyrightable.

if the book shows a worked out solution, would my worked-out solution (with different numbers) infringe th copyright?
