I do not know if this is the proper forum
I have two new ideas that i would like to approch people for funding one is a cad desighn kiosk using existing technology that I would want the designer to modify for me.
the other is a tourist kiosk that also uses existing tech

the same I want to protect myself before approaching anyone for funding.
I have no $'s for a proper patent lawyer

"Idea" cannot be protected. Let say you have an idea: "Pig fly with no wings". Everybody can come up with idea.

The process to implement the idea can be protect. If you can come up with the process where if, I do this, and that the "Pig fly without wings". That can be protected. Implementation is the hard part.

"existing technology" could be somebody's patent and copyrighted material or intellectual properties.
