I got almost four years worth of mp3 recordings of a weekly radio music show, that I recorded myself. Is it OK to post those on the internet for others to listen to, for free? From the company, in two E-mails when I suggested they make DVDs with them, said....

>Unfortunately these are Public Service productions and cannot be sold.

and

>That is a great suggestion. Although, due to our public service status, we are unable to give away or sell copies of the Music and the Spoken Word broadcasts to the public. It's for broadcast only.
Since I don't have 'public service status', can I give them away/post them on the internet for free?

Don't Do It

What's public service to a radio station is a whole different situation if you begin posting music on the Internet. Unless the music is in the public domain you will be infringing copyrights. Enjoy your recordings at home.
