Ok here’s the question:

A company in Toronto, Canada produces a television show. They then get a deal with an American network to air the show in the US. Keeping in mind the show is produced and filmed in Canada. The producers DO NOT own any registered trademarks anywhere.

Now another company in the US already has the registered Trademark in the US. The registered trademark is the same as the television show word for word. Also the content and type business both companies do is the same.

Question:

Is the company from Toronto Canada infringing on the US Company and is there legal grounds to file under?

I believe this just means that the US side owns copyrights for the US only. In other words, no other US station can do the same show. It's almost a reversal here. The Canadian side made it, then signed with the US, but now the US is hiring the Canadian. If the companies are happy with it, let it be.
