one point used to determine improper use is: is there a reasonable possibility there could be confusion due to the similarities of the name and product line.
In your situation, there is obviously that chance since you both sell similar products.
the big factor in determining if you want to challenge their claim:
do they have more money than you? If so, whether they win in court or not, they could possibly sue you into bankruptcy.
