US registered trademark valid in the UK?

Is a US registered trademark valid in the UK and what rights does the company holding this trademark have to pursue ingfringement on any UK based companies who have a similar name and provide a similar services?

Providing you have the same clientèle (meaning that this UK business is able to steal business from you based on the mark), then it is possible for you to take action. The problem with this, however, is that you must do so in UK using UK's courts/laws. That being the case, we can't really help you on this site. You should try and make contact with a UK based attorney versed in such law.
