I have an app on the Apple app store and in the keywords section, I have entered the name of another company's product.
This means that if someone searched for that keyword, my app would show up.

Would this be breaking the law?

The company lawyer has contacted me and asked me to remove the keyword.

Am I infringing or breaking the law by inputting the name of their product in the keywords section so my product would show up if that term was searched for?

Thanks,

JH

If legal action were to be brought against you, it would need to happen in the UK, and as such, use UK's laws/court systems, meaning that US law is not really relevant to you. You'll need to find some help from people local to yourself.

Of course, the more likely action is they'll just pull your app from the appstore.
You may find your developer membership in jeopardy.
