Hi! I, a person in California, would like to post a scanned image to my website, copyrighted 1949 by a business that may be out of business (still need to confirm that). In this case, it is Italy, but I wonder for any country. When the (c) owner is out of business, can I use such an image in this case, even though it is not 70 years after the death of the owner? Thank you so much.
