$20K Damage Caused By Fridge

I live in Arizona. I bought a refridgerator last year and bought the 5 year warranty. The door ice/water dispensor circuit board shorted out while my wife and I were at work. The short caused the door water dispensor to discharge water on the floor all day. We returned home to water in every room. We call our insurance who dispatched a water extraction company. To make a long story short.

We called the fridge manufactuer repairman who stated on the repair invoice the circuit board shorted causing water to discharge. The refridge manuafactuer replaced all damaged parts. The total bill to dry my house out and repair sheet rock is $20K. My family and I had to stay in a hotel 8 days. I had to take 10 vacation days from work to be at the house while contractors performed repairs.

Our insurance company had us send the defective part to a lab for analysis. The results were the part was defective. The lab also stated that the part was a known problem for the company and fires normally happened. Insurance compny is going for sobrogation against fridge manufactuer.

My question is can I recover my salary for my vacation days, per diem for family while in hotel, and deductble from fridge manufactuer? Any other possible monies I can recover. I really would like compensation for the aggravation of it all.

Please provide input
