Question

Assault

State: Florida

I was beat up by a Bouncer at a Night Club. I was being removed from the club with a friend for being "too intoxicated", I do not disagree. The amount o fforce being used was unnecessary and due to this a fight broke out between the bouncers and me and my friend. I was punched from the side (blind sided) and knocked to the ground. Before I could even react a bouncer was on top of me pounding on me like a rag doll. I have sustained a broken rib and cracked bone under my eye. There is no damage to my eye but the nerve that runs across my cheek is damaged permanitly. The force that was used and amount of beating I took was not necessary. Do I have recourse; Here are the facts

1 - I was very intoxicated
2 - While being removed I reacted to the bouncers unecessary force with my own force (for self preservation)
3 - I was leaving willingly but when they got rough I fought back
4 - During the fight I believe I struck one of the bouncers in the face
5 - A friend of mine punched the bouncer who was pummeling me ont he ground to get him off of me. Can he get in trouble?
It sounds like a real mess and is.
