Attorney Malpractice

What is the name of your state? New Mexico

2 years ago I sold my thriving business to a judge (1st mistake)

Judge arranged for someone to buy out his interest in purchase from me.

Involves liquor license

finally allowed to see new purchaser's financials, not enough start up capital. I refused to transfer to new buyer based on this knowledge.

Judge took me to court for interferring with his transaction.

I lost miserably. My attorney is now working for opposing counsel's law firm. My attorney told my friend that he got this great job based on his handling of MY Case.

Seems like a judge judging a judge should not have been allowed to happen (as I had requested a jury trial)

Seems like since my attorney did not argue my case ( he failed to show vital evidence) and lost it for me, that opposing counsel would like him on the "other side" more often than on their team.

Something's fishey here. Don't know where to start. I lost over $100,000 in this mess, not including attorney's fees.

Any light you could shine on this subject would be appreciated.

You made a poor decision in making your initial selling contract that allowed for your involvement in a second selling of the business.

You made a poorer decision by suing a judge in his own court.

Use this expensive education in the future to prevent further financial loss.
