| my mother had a plate and four screws put in her hip two years ago. she has had problems with it from day one. a month ago she went to the doctor and was told to go to the hospital for emergency surgery. the whole area was full of infection. they removed all of the hardware and her doctor told her one of the screws had erosion on it, and seemed to be faulty. the doctor now will not admit to ever saying that, and the screws and any mention of them in medical records have vanished. is there anything we can do without the hardware? | No, BUT a products liability or malpractice lawyer might. They do not charge for an initial consultation, and if they take the case, they work on a contingent fee basis. What are you waiting for? See one!
