| I live in Washington state. We purchased 4 new chairs from a grocery outlet in early Feb. on June 23 as I was sitting talking on the phone, I suddenly found myself on the floor in pain. the front leg of the wooden chair had broken in two where it joins the seat. After x-rays the doctor concluded that my back is sprained and my back and neck would be sore for a couple of weeks. The design of the chair is such that when they insert the screw, there is not a lot of wood holding it together. I for one will never use these chairs again. Do I have a case for pain and suffering? Do I need a lawyer for this or can I pursue it myself? Please any advice is greatly appreciated. I really cannot afford legal fees. |
