Defective part causes damageWhat is the name of your state? utah i purchased an electrical fuel pump from a retail aftermarket parts store. an auto dealership installed it in my car. it later failed, causing a general short circuit in my car's electrical system, which burned wiring. the parts store gave me a new fuel pump which the dealership installed. the dealership also replaced the burned wiring. the total bill from the dealership was $387 for parts and labor. the dealership stated that the burned wiring was caused by the faulty fuel pump. i submitted a claim to the parts store for $387, but they only gave me $175 with no explanation. am i not entitled to the full $387? |

| I also visit this forum on an occasion. First, the parts store was being very generous, they did not have to give you anything. They only sell the parts, they cannot be held liable for the part itself nor the installation. I would be in contact with the manufacturer about a possible refund. You do still have the old fuel pump as evidence don't you? |
