I went to the emergency room after an automobile accident and was told that I had fractured my right tibia and fibula and also had some knee damage. The ER doctor told me to follow up with an orthopedist immediately and I was discharged and sent home. The next day, I went down the list of orthopedists in my insurance booklet only to be turned down by everyone I called. As soon as I said I broke my ankle in an auto accident, I was told that I would have to pay cash. They would not accept my insurance even though they were on my plan. Is this legal? |
