dental productillinois. my husband saw a dentist who said he grinds his teeth and needed a plate to wear to bed. we received a bill for 278.00 none of which is covered by insurance. i informed the dentist we did not want the plate. he claims my husband 'told" him to make it (he asked me if my husband ground his teeth and I informed him he did not) we have never picked up the plate and when i spoke with the dentist he said he would "take us to court". do we have to pay for services we never received? are we obligated to pay for this plate? tahnk you for your respone in advance |

| If your husband had the form made, which means putting all that goop in your mouth and making an impression with it, then I'd say 'yes', he owes the dentist for the impression and for the resulting plate. |

| Your husband got off cheaply. I also have a dental splint, and it cost me $500 two years ago. The dentist shoves a tray filled with clay into your mouth, and sends the impression off to a lab to have the tray made. The $278 may be to cover the lab work, and not the finished splint. |
