Depo-Provera

I started the Depo shot, birth control given by a shot every 3 months, after my son was born. I was on it for a total of a year give or take. This works by making your body believe it is pregnant, when in fact it is not.
Anyhow, I have been off it for almost 5 years, I still have no period which they say can take a year to return, I have gained a lot of weight, I have heartburn, and a few other girly concerns. My doctor has tried everything she can think of including horomones to try to reverse the effects but no luck. She believes with no period no chance of ever having child again.
This was a fairly new product when I started it, and I do know a few class action suits are in limbo, now is it worth it for me to retain a lawyer with this? I am not ine who really believes in suing but my body and mind have been and still are going through Hell.
