Driveway damage by auto

State of Florida: Driveway was steam-cleaned, painted and striped. Short while later, my Sebring began leaking mysterious fluid. Stained driveway badly. Took to dealer; said it was battery case. Replaced but trouble came back almost immediately. More stains. Returned to dealer; said it was poor undercoating; re-did undercoating. Re-did driveway self; this week stains are worse than ever. Driveway extremely bad now. Question: Dealer is like most dealers, so do we have any legal recourse whatever? Thank you.

My response:

You actually fell for the old, "The undercoating is dripping" routine? Undercoating doesn't drip!

Look, your main problem is that you own a Chrysler product. Chrysler couldn't build a drivetrain to save themselves. Hell, they only recently started designing car bodies that are actually not bad to look at. So, give 'em another 10 to 15 years to start learning how to build drivetrains.

Once you get rid of that Sebring, your problems will stop. So, in the meantime, and while you're waiting for their engineers to actually design a mechanically sound drivetrain, get a Ford.
