Ecoli in Drinking Water

What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

Hello:
Not sure if this is the best place to put this post. That being said, I have an extremely serious situation here. I've discovered that the water supply at my apartment complex has been infected with ecoli bacteria and I was extremely ill this past summer, spring , winter was nearly hospitalized. I got myself to the emergency room just in time and was treated with heavy anti biotics for the entire summer and Fall. The association which owns and operates the apartment complex knew of the rotted septic system which caused the problem and the need to replace it but did nothing about it. In addition to the drinking supply being affected, rain water was backing up the pipes causing raw material to back up in bath tubs, toilets, etc. I contracted a prostate infection from the severe diarrhea caused by the bacteria and lost two jobs due to the additional effects of this disease - Nausea, stomach cramps, headaches. Can someone provide advice on how to approach this situation from a legal stand point and the damages involved ?

Thank You

Have you contacted any agency such as your county health department? Is everyone living in the complex as sick as you? All cases of e coli, no matter the source, is required to be reported to the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, was this done?

Be sure you talk to all others living in that cesspool. Get a lawyer now. All of you should sue. The County Hwealth Department may not help you directly, but should be called to make the e coli contamination a matter of record.
Go get them.
