What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? I live in Missouri.
My mother was admitted into a local hospital on 1-26-02 with the chief complaint of a bladder infection, and died on 1-27-02 from complications associated with a proceedure (unrelated to the badder infection) done by the hospital.

My question is, how do I go about requesting her medical records from the hospital? I know they will probably stall about turning them over so I want to get some advice before I request them.

Thanks

MEDICAL RECORDS

Susan25, all i did was go to the medical records division of the Hospital and tell them to give me a CERTIFIED COPY of the entire file while i waited. they handed them right over andf charged me like $75.00. Don't let them tell you to come back tomorrow or anything like that.just go and demand the records. You must bring proof that you are the exsequtor of her estate. or they wont give them to you. If no one is there to certify the records, then get a regular copy (uncertified). The main thing is don't leave without the records.
