Hi.
I live in Michigan, just south of Detroit. My husband had an accident just over two years ago. The hospital care he received was horrendous. He is messed up in different ways because of it, but we have never sued anyone, so didn't pursue that avenue. He did not have insurance and we just received a notice that the hospital is suing HIM for the money he owes them. If it hadn't been for their incompetence he would not have been in there for nearly as long as he was (almost one month) and he will also always have to live with the results of this accident, some of which are because of them. We have to respond to this paper within three weeks of getting it and I'm not really sure how to respond to this. Is there a statute of limitations in my state for suing a hospital due to medical malpractice? How do I respond to this paper?
