Question

Injured in Military, untreated, Can I sue now that I am retired?

Hi,

I am requesting information on an incident that I would like to approach a lawer in my home state (wyoming) about, but am not sure if I can do this.

I have been diagnosed with Thorasic Outlet Syndrome, and several herniated disc's in various locations of my back and neck. I am finally being seen for these, and surgery is the only recourse at this time. I have documentation from military medical records of several falls taken while at work, numerous (over 10) different times approaching the military doctors with numbness in my arms, loss of strength, pain radiating through my arms, neck and back, and have numerous indications (written in their records) of disc's that are identified as having problems, but have never been fixed. These have been identified as early as 1982. I am wondering if this falls into the catagory of negligence on the part of the military, and what recourse I have.

Thanks
Joe

Oftentimes, surgery does more harm than good Most likely, your doctors at the time thought the wisest course was to leave things alone. Now, 20 years later, the problems have exacerbated and you require surgery.
End of case.
