Metal in Blender

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

I just bought one of those new 600 dollar VitaMix blenders last week. I got home from the gym tonight and made a protein shake.

I started drinking it when i bit something big, i bit down again thinking it was ice and it turned out to be metal.

I spit it out and ran to sink. I took out a strainer and poured my shake through it, and there were quite a few large pieces of metal, and at the bottom of my shake were metal sparkels in my cup.

I have everything saved. I am sure i swallowed some of the metal, and it is sharp, and i am not to sure what to do or if i can sue VitaMix. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you seek medical attention? What is your prognosis, what are your chances of making it?

If you did swallow any pieces of metal, please make sure to avoid all airports, courthouses...anywhere with a metal detector. At least until... well you know...until it passes!

Can you Sue??? Please, stick a fork in me!!!

Where did the metal come from? Were you actually injured?

When you examined the blender, did the blades appear intact? If so, you must have dropped something metal in there yourself. If the blades themselves broke down, then I say you're entitled to a refund or a new blender, and nothing more since you were not injured. But I find that unlikely, more likely that you accidentally dropped a spoon or something in there and that's what got ground up.
