Question

microwave/home fire/recall/lawsuit?

I live in FL.on 7/30/01, I had a fire in my home that caused severe damage. It was determined that my Whirpool microwave oven caused it, and in October, they were recalled, due to 7 home fires. I understand my insurance company is going after Whirpool, for the money they paid for repairs. Whirpool has mentioned that they might reimburse me for the cost of the microwave.
I feel I should be entitled to more. Is this out of the question? I am still not living in my home. I bought it in 3/01, had it totally renovated, everything new, lived there for 6 weeks, and then this tradgedy.
Must there be bodily injury to get them on product liability? Isn't the devastation to my life worth anything?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Exclamation

product liability

I'm not sure why you are not living in your home. Was the insurance money not enough to complete the repairs? If so, you need a product liability lawyer NOW ! You ought to be able to recover enough money to finish repairs, the costs of alternative housing, and other expenses, and if your doctor has noted depression, etc, for personal injury. I'm going through this for a fire caused by my hot water heater in New York , and my lawyer believes we can collect enough to cover all of our additional expenses, and damages.
