misdiagnosis


i live in ma and was recently misdiagnosised with scabies at my local er. this caused quite a deal of havoc as i work at a daycare center. i missed 2 days of work not to mention the stress that this caused on myself and my family. do i have any legal recourse?

so your telling me that a doctor can misdiagnosis someone, causing undue stress and lost wages without having to answer for his actions

Yes. A misdiagnosis is not a cause for a malpractice suit. Some doctors may act like gods but none of us are truly perfect and none offer warranties.
Think how lucky you are that some enthusiastic resident did not mistake your condition for leprosy.
