misdiagnosis case?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Florida

2 1/2 weeks ago on a Sunday I took my 2 year old son to the hospital for a fever. Once we got there they found out is blood count was extremely high. At that point he was admitted. The doctor ordered chest x-rays which nothing showed up on. He was acting like his abdomen was bothering him and it took me until Tuesday to convince the docotrs to do a abdominal x-ray and CT scan. At that point they found out he had a small blockage that would pass on it's own. They also told mee that there was a gas bubble present that was causing the pain and not o worry about it. This continued until the following Sunday when they decided to send us to a specialist at a childrens hospital. The surgeon we saw had the films that were taken on Tuesday and after only 20 minutes discovered he had a ruptured appendix. Since it had gone on for so long since the misdiagnosis at the first hospital he had to be on IV antibiotics ofr 10 days. Now we have to wait 3 more weeks before any surgery can be done to correct the infection. Does this sound like a case worth pursuing or is it just a misfortune because of his age?

It definitely sounds like a case worth pursuing to me. Contact a medical malpractice attorney.
