For Pete's sake, will you please just drop the poor-me-I'm-a-victim crap? If you want to know how to pull off some half-assed extortion attempt because of your inability to play a game properly, than be a man and ask. You still won't get any support, but at least it's an honest question.

Nobody is buying this garbage about you being some innocent victim injured by the big, bad (rich!) corporation. If you really have found a lawyer who's buying it, it's because you're buying him.

I don't know who gave you the idea that companies like Nintendo are running around willy-nilly settling lawsuits left and right every time some parasite looking for an easy buck starts whining about class actions, but tell him I said he's a moron.

"Victims" like you are the reason manufacturers have to idiot-proof their blow dryers with little labels that warn us not to use them when we're in the bathtub.

Get a job.

OH MY GOD LET IT GO!!!

I own a Wii and play it frequently (yes seniors its a fantastic stress reliever LOL) and I have in no way shape or form ever received ANY injuries WHATSOEVER! YOU are a MORON! Stop trying to get your finances from some stupid lawsuit, put DOWN the Wii and GET A FREAKIN REAL HONEST JOB!
Gee, what kind of example do you think this sets for your kids?
"Well sons here's the trick: get a game, play irresponsibly, sue and you'll NEVER have to work again just like dear ole' dad!" Wow dad, priceless....

If you cannot have a criminal record, then don't commit criminal acts - seems simple enough.

Except for even if he tried, he can't set that example because he'd never get any money out of it.

The example would be more like, "Hey! Kids! Be just like me- I wasted thousands and thousands on a huge retainer for an attorney, and the case was thrown out! When I could have been using that time to look for a job and make a legitimate and viable income! Aren't I great?"

I have a Wii, and play it frequently as well. The only injury I suffered was doing a Wii sports training exercise (hitting homeruns). I hurt myself because I swung as hard as I could, as though I was really hitting a ball. I have zero intention of suing Nintendo, because I took the risk playing the game, and it was my fault I exerted such force at my TV. I too, would love to win the lottery, but I don't think it's going to happen due to my own stupidity.

First I would like to inform all that life has not been any easier for me being a single father raising 2 kids. I'm still unemployed and am having to struggle week to week to make ends meet. I am scheduled to see an Orthopeadic Surgeon in April.

As for Nintendo it looks like they have revised the general warning both on their site and also in future manuals because it seems that I'm not the only person getting injured. So I e-mailed the legal department explaining that if they would modify the joystick so that it makes a hard snap when an object is similularily struck that this would help tremendously relieve most injuries. HOW? Well the body learns how to compensate action with reaction. For example we learn to hit a baseball with the correct weing and our muscles act in a vigorous manner so that the impact of the object is as powerful as needed to send the baseball 300 or 400 feet. But just after the ball is struck our muscles immediately relaxes as to not cause injury. This is where the Nontendo Wii lacks the design flaw. Shouldn't there be a contact resistance?? Is this becoming a growing epidemic? In the 1980's Nintendo had to pay out over $80 million dollars because the joysticks were causing injury to childrens hands. Let's fix this problem before it becomes too costly. I have sent in a suggestion of how the joystick should be designed and hope it will help.
Dude, let it go...

Even if you hire an attorney, there will be no good result for you...
About the 1980 stuff, that's a mistake nintendo have done, but now i'm sure they have a lot of professionals to avoid that mistake again.
