This incident happened a little more than a year ago.

The patient complains of headaches and tunnel vision (onset 6 weeks) and decides to visit a proper physician. Optho 1 tells patient that her condition is glaucoma and gives her vitamin drops and pills to improve her condition.

The patient switched optho's after 4 months of "treatment" without improvement. As the headaches worsen, patient opts to visit a neurosurgeon. Patient discovers that optho 1 misdiagnosed her condition by failing to perform a simple and fundamental "field of vision" test. Had she performed the proper test, she would have discovered that the condition causing the symptons was not glaucoma but were, in fact, a TUMOR wrapped around a gland located directly behind the eye socket. She required emergency neurosurgery surgery at USC. Fortunately, she has made a full recovery.

Patient does not want to sue the optho, but wants to report the optho 1 to the appropriate investigative agencies. Patient wants to prevent optho from doing this others. Could anyone please lead me in the right direction?

Patient wants to report optho to the optho licensing agency, and other consumer/patient watch dog groups.

full recovery means no damages**************other than maybe the charges from the first opto.

as far as the reporting goes check with the state medical board.
