Now, 160 complaint or 161 complaints, if the government sees this as no reason to force GM to issue a general recall based on the TOTAL number of Chevrolet Cobalts sold (and trust me, they usually would not hesitate either way), then I don't see how anyone can establish otherwise... Especially when you are almost doubling the number of official complaints just to prove your claim is justified.

I didn't look through them but it does appear they are spread throughout their system although they may be repetitions.

Nor was I with you. Sorry if I came off as such!
I was just restating & detailing my earlier findings.

I agree about the fact that they are spread out (and hence my detailing the particular listings related ti "STEERING".
I also agree that there maybe repititions/duplicates which further tends to show that 161 listings might be exaggerated so the 300 listing claim by the OP is an over exaggeration.
