I had prednisone as a child for allergies with no warnings of side effects. It has now come to my attention that this drug has caused my cracked vertabra, arthritis, cataract, past mood swings and weight gain. My biggest problem is the osteo-arthritis that showed up in my hips at age 35. I am now 46. An aquaintance has said that his Dr. said prednisone caused his need for a hip replacement. I'll need one in the future. Do I have any recourse?
