Property damage

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? NC I purchased a cleaning product, brought it home, sat it in the hallway (it had never been opened) until my son came out of the bathroom. Approx. 3 - 5 minutes later I went back to clean the bathroom (once he was out). The product had fallen over, leaked out, and had eaten my carpet away. When I picked it up I realized the lid was on crooked. It was tight, but evidentally during packaging the lid had not been placed on correctly which allowed it to leak out. The company offered me 25% of what it will cost to replace the carpet. I feel under these circumstances they should accept full responsibility. What's your opinion?

If you had properly stored the product per the manufacturers recomendations, the accident would have never happened. I consider the 25% offer to be very generous.

I didn't have a chance to "store" it! I barely got into the house with it. It leaked out due to a faulty lid before it was ever opened. If the lid had been placed on properly during manufacturing the accident would not have happened!

How old is your carpet?? My opinion is... you are NOT entitled to new carpet to replace used. If they have any liability at all, it is to replace 'like and kind'.... meaning used carpet.
Take their offer....

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
