| Rehab Center, broke my mom's leg

Mom just had a knee replaced and been in rehab for a week. After using the bathroom thurs. she needed help to get back in bed. Two cna's (orderlies, or whatevers) start to help her. Mom's roomate, could tell right away they were going to cause my mom some pain and flagged down the head nurse on duty. By then, it was too late; they had broken her leg above the knee where the pin is set in the bone. They figured it out fri. morning. Sent her to the E-room at hospital. Then sent her back, w/a splint/brace, and the doc won't see her till tues. They even had the audacity to hit dad up for the money (medical transport) back from the hospital before they would take her. Needless to say we are all PISSED and have been told we should get a board certified trail injury attorney. Her rehab instead of three weeks will now be a min. of 10 to 12 weeks. Any thoughts or references??? thanks |
