My response:

I had the same, exact problem with my vet and "staffie bitch" 23 years ago . . . then, I married her !

Anyway, unless you had a contract with the vet, then there's no liability that I can see. The problem here, as I see it, is that you are attempting to place moral, legal and ethical responsibilities on this vet, that you would if he was dealing with humans. The problem with that, in the absence of a contract, is that dogs are "personal property" - - treated much the same, under the law, as your television or your car. Dogs are not humans.

Therefore, while I'm sure the vet feels bad for your losses, there is nothing compelling him to treat your dogs as the law would require him to do if there was a human being involved.

Your vet is not responsible for "nature" and other Acts of God.

Good luck to you.

My response:

Which one did you marry the staffie bitch or the vet? Your response "I married her" was unclear as to which you were referring to.

Thanks for the clairification.

My response:

I wrote it purposefully that way !

I was hoping someone would pick up on my word-play and vagueness.

(for your information, it was, in fact, the staffie bitch)
